Submitted By: Karylle Silva: Woodcraft is a bimonthly magazine the can be enjoyed by the novice woodworker or the advanced craftsmen. The ideas Woodcraft is offering the reader are “Projects, people and products”. The Projects portion contains plans for elementary and advanced crafts. From turning a bat to building a four-poster bed, the directions are clear and easy to follow as well as many beautiful pictures to view as examples. The People segment contains lively articles that the reader can get involved with. It features stories of unique crafters at all various skill levels. It was refreshing to see that the “product” section was not overrun with ads for high priced tool. It contains articles for maintaining tools a reader would own, “how-tos,” and even a brief article on the usefulness of several different types of wood. Overall this magazine was a pleasant surprise. I did not feel bombarded by advertisements and the instructions are easy to follow. The selections of projects allow a woodcrafter of any skill to find a desired plan. It is a fun magazine for even the non-craftsman to enjoy.

Submitted By: Wynn Costley: Woodcraft Magazine is written in clear and very readable language. The illustrations are keyed to the text which makes the explanation visual. Beware: there are the coolest tools shown being used, and in reviews. This magazine has cost me much more than just the subscription price! I highly recommend it!
